Got a new laptop this week (well end of last week) Its a Thinkpad P14s. Ryzen7Pro. A little less memory than I would have liked but a screaming deal overall so I went for it. And its great! It runs everything I need, including VMs without any issues. The old one (a thinkpad t470) did browsing/etc without a problem, but if I ran a VM it just crawled. This is MUCH better.

Still Fedora, still SwayWM, this combo has worked really well for me the last year or so. Now my plan is to move my “work” laptop 2nd screen over to this laptop and RDP as needed from it, using the Win 11 “work” laptop just for teams calls if I have to sign onto the VPN. I’ve made the VPN work on my linux laptop, but work insists on a full tunnel and I really don’t like having all my traffic routed to my employer. So I try to avoid the VPN as much as possible.

I know, not much in this post but just posting something so I can verify Hugo, rsync, etc all works as I expect.
